Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome or the commonly known AIDS is truly an incurable disease but as always stressed and repeated by health care workers, health agencies and informed individuals, is highly preventable in a lot of simple and effective ways. The article on slaying this dreaded disease shares more of the commonly known ways to prevent AIDS; topmost is the newly discovered gel agent which is said to be anti microbial and gave positive and relatively good infection reducing agent, temporary celibacy is also discussed, giving a specific time to break the most common transmission through sexual abstinence, Lazarovic also included medical faults which mainly points out to the careless universal precautions down to merely setting aside the usual hand hygiene practice… the author also presented brief but definite statistics of the disease showing the countries, age ranges and other number related data.
As for me, i humbly summarize these all by using the alphabet of a certain health agency, our local department of health. These are the same old alphabet from A to E with their own respective meanings: A for Abstinence, B for Blood transfusion precautions, C for Correct use of condom, D for Drug injection guidelines, and E for Engaging in safe sexual activities. They may sound so basic as kindergarten ABCs and yet these can serve as a dynamic and accurate general guidelines for everyone.
